The plot has been very popular among artists for many centuries, although it was just briefly mentioned in the Gospel, its essence is that the Holy Family flees to Egypt to avoid the massacre of infants by order of King Herod. The goal of many artists who turned to this subject was to convey the change of emotions - from anxiety and worry to peace and quiet. In my case, the plot is just a starting point for a discussion on the topic of family and home. Peace and tranquility, safety and protection - these are the main emotions inherent in the painting. The figures symmetrically placed around the center create a sense of balance and harmony. We can see peace and tranquility in their faces, in the background there are village houses that symbolize safety and comfort. Apples are there as a symbol of hope and well-being and the whole silhouette of the family, if you look closely, also resembles two halves of an apple. Warm, soft colors create a warm, friendly atmosphere. A closed silhouette resembling an apple looks as if it contains figures inside, and tells us that no matter what is there outside, the main thing is always inside - it must be preserved and protected.
